To believe something is to think that it is true regardless of whatever evidence or proof does or does not exist.
- Belief is rarely defined, so your common understanding of the word may differ from this definition. Many people would consider belief to be just thinking something is true. However this definition would be useless as any statement can be rewritten to be considered true, and so the use of belief could be extended to all knowledge.
